American Guinea Hogs in Missouri/Kansas?

I have been reading about the American Guinea Hog. Does anyone in Missouri or Kansas raise them? I live near Kansas City Missouri. Does anyone know what price range I should expect?

Perhaps one shouldn't judge by others experiences, but I've been lurking on the guinea hog forum and those critters don't look appealing due to folks have no problem containing their farm hogs, but the guinea hogs are escape artists! But as we see on all the forums, some don't experience what others do.

The American Guinea Hog Association lists one member from Kansas, but there's probably owners around the country that don't belong:

I don't know if it should be a concern or not, but there's a very small gene pool for the guinea hog.
