Selenium and Vit E

Hello, I was wondering how often you PBP owners add this to your piggy's feed. Is it everyday or how often is it neccesary? Most areas are defficient and goats need it as well. So I dose my Does when they are bred, two weeks befor Kidding and again the day they kid, But I do not know how often I need to give it to a PBP.
Thanks,

Both are in many foods and feeds and both can be easily over-dosed/toxic.

Personal opinion - I wouldn't add any to the diet unless a critter tested out to need it.

Oh Great....... That is wonderful news I had no idea, I read the feed did not contain it so I was confused. I did not bring my pigglet home yet (two More weeks) so I have not gotten the feed to read the bag. I went to the one feed store but they did not have PBP feed, so I have to try another.
I read so much about them needing it so I was not sure.
Yes you are right an over dose can be toxic, I have to watch that with my goats as well.

Some areas may be deficient in selenium, but do you know where all your foods are grown or where all the ingredients in the feed come from? Those areas may not be deficient. Could be why they aren't in the feed. Toxicity could be the reason.

Why have you singled out selenium?
