Feeding milk

I have extra goat milk & access to cow milk. How much can I safely feed 2 pigs without it causing problems? I am going to pick up a couple of small, just weaned pigs soon & would like to feed the the extra milk as much a day as I can.

Wendy - I would start by feeding 3 quarts a feeding twice a day. If they clean it all up and do not get diarreha, then gradually increase volume as they grow.

We feed our excess goat milk by soaking whole oats and whole wheat in the milk for a minimum of 24 hours, sometimes, the grain is almost sprouting. The pigs seem to handle this very well. Pigs love kefir, too.

We have free fed milk and pasture/hay. The pigs grow wonderfully on it and they taste delicious. The dairy gives the meat and fat a sweet taste.

Cheers
