my friend recently stopped breeding her myotonic goats because she found out that all her bucks passed on the "spur teat" gene. this is when there are multiple teats joining at the base of a normal teat. im not sure if they all will work or not, but i know you can get them removed. one of her doelings this year was born with 6 teats.

Well, yeah, you can have them removed... But the problem is tht the gene is still there in the doe (or buck).

Yes Boer goats can have four teats, ours are, but we recently bought a red two teat boy to enhance our gene pool, he can also throw paints. The only way all four teats are functional though is if they are two inches or more between each teat, and non of ours are.

Hey come on, we go for sweetness not boob quality, anyway they are mainly for us, other than the boys born here so who cares. Besides after they have babies it all hangs low and saggy in a couple of years anyway so who's countin'.
