nubian/boer cross goats

My dad has some half nubian/half boer does that have wonderful looking udders. I got to thinking. Wouldn't it be an idea to breed nubians with good udders to meaty boers. You would have 1/2 nubian 1/2 boer kids. Then take the best bucks and the best does and breed them together and keep the best kids. You would always want to breed to keep the kids 1/2 and 1/2. These would be a good all purpose goats. This is just an idea.

One of my best milkers is half Boer/half Nubian. She has a great udder & is easy to milk.

That's how a lot of people got started in meat goats. Having owned a couple hundred of this cross I agree that they make a good goat, notwithstanding excessive hoof problems, but a lot of the hybrid vigor is lost in the second, and especially the third generations, unless something new is crossed in. For me that was Spanish & Kiko.
