To check prices of goat meds, go to Hoegger Goat Supplies online, or to Jeffers. Compare prices.

Diatomaceous earth for worming.

I haven't tried it yet, but I am planning on using it w/ my 2 goats. I've read alot about it. If only half of it is true, it will do a good job. You could get a 100 pounds or more for $57. Save yourself some greenbacks.
Maybe someone else knows how effective it is as a wormer.

My thoughts on DE. I'm new to all this, so take this as you will.

We're going to use DE too. Mixing it in with their food. BUT, and this is a big but, we will do fecals and still be prepared to worm with a chemical wormer when necessary. I think DE may work, especially where worms are not a huge problem. But don't use it unless you're willing to keep up with fecals.

We just bought the Cydectin because we have two very wormy new goats that Ivermectin didn't seem to work on. I can't use DE for this situation. But I am curious to see how worm loads are with the DE down the road some.

This is Sharon Miller on our site. Her prices on Cydectin are beating everyone. She also is a private person so you could get her to put it into a $5.50 Priority Mail flat rate box, or check out other cheaper ways to ship. I will be using her for my supplies. Vicki
