How many boer goats can I raise per acre?

I am thinking of getting some boer goats. I am curious of the goats per acre. Thanks in advance for your responses. Farmgirl 85

We live in the Eastern midwest and are rich in browse availibilty. Do they depend on grains or just pasture? Our weather in the summer can hit 90 and can hit 0 in the winter. Snow is moderate and in a normal summer rainfall is more than enough to maintain a decent pasture.

With good fences and mineral blocks you should get by with 7 hd per acre, now thats a estamate depending on the forage and weather conditions, they will need some supplimental grain depending on the weather. Don't forget shelter and good clean water.
