Is the milk good after deworming?

I just dewormed my goats with Ivermectin, including the one I milk. Is the milk ruined from the deworming? if so, for how long? Is there anything else I can use it for or should I just toss it?

Ivermectin is used on people in 3rd world countries so I usually don't worry about it. If concerned toss it for 3 or 4 days. The vet will tell you the withdrawal is 45 days. They like to be overly cautious.

Just an FYI, we now use Ivermectin in the states... scabies, lice, pin worms. It is true. We prescribe it.
I have a friend who will dose herself 1cc/100# and put it in her morning coffee a couple times a year.

I usually give mine to dog and cat generously for 2 days and then drink up!

Wink you could wash with it!!

You could use it to make some wonderful goat milk soap- not that hard and everyone will love it. Linda
