Just fat or what....

I was just reading the posts on enterotoxemia and it got me thinking. We have a doe who is about 4 years old. She's had 3 birthings (6 babies in all), has always had her yearly CDT shots, eats great, soft fur, wormed on a regular basis, has plenty of pasture, water, hay, snacks and love and attention. Not to mention we kept her last daughter, so she's the only one that still has her baby with her from this years crop (the daughter is 4 months old). Oh year, she's a boer so she's pretty stout. Anyway, she has had a pot belly since her birthing last year. Even though she's not pregnant, she still looks pregnant. After she gave birth this year to two healthy does, she still looked pregnant. I don't think she has bloat, but now I'm not sure. What other signs would there be? My other does are hefty and have bellies on them, but this one looks like she could deliver triplets anyday. Any one have any ideas?

If she is happy and healthy I wouldn't worry about it. It could be that the muscles around her uerus have relxed and they will give that saggy pot belly look. I know a doe who looks like she could have quads anyday and is not pregnant. It just happens sometimes, and being four years old and having freshened three times it is not an uncommon thing to happen. Doe mature the most at four years old and their barrels tend to deepen out the most at this age also.
