Goat stuck in a tree!

Came home about seven on Monday, checked on "my girls" (five sheep and one La Mancha goat) and took a shower. When I came out I heard one of the sheep "Baaa!" in an unusual way. I looked out; didn't see anything wrong. Got out to the kitchen when I heard, Donny (my goat) scream! Ran out to see all the sheep looking at him. He had reared up trying to get as high as possible into a plum tree and had managed the get his right forefoot wedged inbetween two branches! He was practically hanging from it and looked limp!! I ran out to him thinking "oh My God - he's broken a leg!" I took the 3" branches and actually ripped them apart to get his foot out. (guess the adrenaline was pumping!)
As soon as the offending branch hit the ground Donny and the sheep started in on eating the leaves. I looked at him and said "you're fine!" (He was) Good thing we don't have close neighbors -I had run out wearing nothing but a shirt and shoes! :haha:

Better not let my dad see this. He might re-think goats.

"Hello, darling. How was work today?"

"You wouldn't believe it, dear. You know how the boys down at the station are always getting called out because someone's pu... uhmm, cat is stuck up a tree? Well, today someone's neighbour called because there was a goat in a tree, but when we got there...."
