new goat baby born this morning!

Jodie had one big whopping goat baby about 9:45 this morning! She is a little Boar and looks just like her mama! I am thrilled silly! Baby was already all cleaned up time I saw her (so we're estimating the time of birth from when I last checked and then when husband checked and there was already a baby there!). Jodie has had her water and malassos and the baby has already learned to stand, kind of wobbly, and has been nursing!

This is a major event here at OLD FIELD FARM and I thank each and every one of you for you hints and good thoughts!!!!!! suzy

That is great! It's always a relief when you go out and it's all done and everything is good, even if it's a little sad that you didn't get to peek in on it.

Stormie, the new baby, appears to be doing well. It is extremely hot and humid here and Stormie and Jodie stayed in the goat shed on the hay most of the day....but came out in the pasture for a while as it was getting dark. What a little cutey!
