Temp Goat Fence

I was going to use my cattle panels and move them around but they're too heavy and cumbersome and I prefer to take them with me to the new property in a couple of weeks - the goats will be staying here for another month. So my current problem is what to do with my goats. I'm buying some electrical tape for my horse and was wondering this morning- as I struggled with the heavy panels- if there is an electrical fence kit that I can easily move around for my goats while I'm preparing to move and before their new pasture is finished at the new place. I'm looking for easy (and inexpensive) that I can set up and move by myself. Thanks.

I have just started using the electric netting from Kencove.com and it seems to work pretty well. Wasn't sure the goats would respect it, but they are doing fine staying in. It is not cheap, but not expensive either. I use the one for sheep/goat/dog.

I like the posts better from Kencove; they have a small step in
at the base which makes them easier to put in rocky soil (like ours!).
Prices are about the same when you figure shipping etc.

Thank you gccrook and MoBarger. I hadn't seen the kencove- it isn't all that expensive and looks pretty easy. It would also give me piece of mind at the new place since I don't know what all lurks there at night yet.

You're welcome. I have found it very easy. I can reposition the fence in about 15 minutes, with a battery operated charger. Great way to change grazing quickly and easily.

I use the electric tape on step in posts for a buck a piece.One tape on bottom clip 8 inches from ground,and another tape 16 in. over that.Got it all at Yohos TSC in New Castle,Pa. So they can surely be found cheaper direct from a manufacturer!
