mini nubians born last night

my first babies in my new line were born last night.
the little buck, looks like a calico kitten. with all the colors. the little doe, is also muitl colored, but dark colors, gray brown silver, and a hint of tan. both are beautys. and cute as can be, and lively little things, they hit the ground running these to did , no finding sea legs for these guys, they were off and running.
mom is doing fine. really well.

Congratulations! I had a Nubian kid about that color once. Unfortunately as she matured her colors muddied. But she was a beautiful kid.

Congrats!!!!!!! on the new babies.
Please post pics.

Can you also tell us more about mini Nubians?
I use to have Nubians and love the breed.
When did the minis come about?
How big are they?
What about milking?

We had two mini doelings born in December that look very much like you describe. All of our other stock is solid with a few splashes here and there. The doe that delivered these kids is solid black, so these girls were a surprise. I am repeating the breeding again this year to see if I can produce it again. We have four more does due in the next two weeks to two months by the same sire. I am hoping to see a lot more spots.

a mini nubian, is a cross between a neigerian dwarf, and a nubian doe. that is called 1st. generation,. then breed the first generation doe to a second generation buck, and on and on, it goes.
they are great little milkers, and cute as buttons, with their ears and colors. it is so much fun. they are so small when born, un real. but fun, and they are doing their twrills, and jumps, and they are so tiny. it is the cutest thig. and the milk is wonderful.
