Ivomec wormer.... pour on or injectable orally?

I had picked up some ivomec from my vet last month for my goats and the two small ones (2 1/2 months old) have a pot belly and so I think they need it again. Is the ivomec they gave me for cows or just for goats? And I have cattle pour on..... can I give that orally? Thanks!!

I have been told..that you shouldn't use the pour on for goats. I would check with my vet before doing this and double check before pouring this down their throats too. I use the same medication but give this in injection form..seems to work well that way. Let us know !!

Yes the cattle pouron is used orally in goats, at the bottle dosage. Potbellied kids usually need cocci prevention also. It's soo much cheaper to purchase your own wormers and meds from jefferspet.com 1800-jeffers than to purchase from a vet with their huge markup...an they purchase from the same catalogs we do! Vicki
