Had to pull kids, what antibiotic?

My Nubian kidded last night. First one born live and healthy, then nothing.....

the second kid was stillborn and deformed. I had to pull it....nothing solid for mama to push out! (Yuck....) and then I just gave a little boost to the third 'cause mama was worn out....

Should I give her abx? Which kind? I am milking her and bottle-feeding the kids, they are doing fine.

no need for antibiotic right now. if she cleans out normally and not smelly, no fever than you don't need to be woried

I dont like to give antibiotics unless there is a need for them. If she does develop a fever, etc. give her penicillin.

Some people automatically give antibiotics when they enter a doe (entering past wrist). If you are just sticking your hand in to help (fingers to wrist) there is generally no need for an antibiotic.
