case bac vaccine anybody?

anyone use this?if so have you had problems with the goats being sore afterwards.my vet told me to give it but the goats are real sore from it.i gave it subq.thanks

this is for cl i guess no body vaccinates for it.if you do let me know.my goats are better now i guess just normal sluggishness from shots.

I use this vaccine on my goats. I was told to give it once every 6 months instead of yearly as it wears off faster in goats than sheep. It did make some of mine sore for a day or so but then they were fine. Not all were sore it depended on the specic spot I gave the injection. A few were left with some granular knots but 95% had no lumps left at all. You can get a specific vaccine for your herd made that is much better and you only have to give once a year, and the ones that do have CL won't get any more abscesses, while the case-bac does nothing for the already infected animals.
