Wk old doe kid w/milk in udder

I'm posting this pic for Lisa, she's a friend with Saanens, and she's a member here too. This Saanen kid is only 1 wk old with milk in her udder. Neither Lisa or I have seen this before. Lisa has quite a few nice registered goats and is very experienced with them. Any ideas?

It's a reaction to the mother's hormones in utero- the kid got a big enough dose so HER udder decided she must be getting ready to kid too! Not uncommon in human babies and goes by the folkloric name "witch's milk". Don't milk her- start teat dip. Mastitis is VERY common in these cases.

Thi is for people, but the same thing-

It's the mom's hormones. This happens to human babies too sometimes. It will go away after a while, Nothing to worry about. Just keep her clean and don't squeeze.

I am an RN, and what the others have said is right on the button where human babies are concerned. Some babies WILL have milk in their breasts, because they are full of their Mother's hormones. It goes away, just as the others have said.

AS for the goat end of things, I defer to their greater knowledge.
