Exclamation IBC tote goat shelter video

I've been making these since last year and they've proven to be effective and tough. I recently bought a dozen totes to make more and decided to upgrade the entrance to make it easier for the kids to get in and easier to clean out. A bit of EMT to make supports and a couple of hours and you're done. I've got four lined up to finish for some of the does and new kids. Enjoy.

Awesome! love this. Made me go look on craigslist to see if we had any local. I am in need of better kid housing, and these would make excellent isolation housing for new animals too.

Very nice design. I will have to steal your ideas when we make more.

We have used some for our goats, they slip on the floor because it is slippery so we save the feed bags and cut them open to line the floor before we put in the hay. I have put a piece of wood on top so they can climb and I have a board so they can walk for one to the next.

Two adults that get along can sleep just fine in it. A doe and her kids no problem. I have several moms and their kids are about their size and they share their respective shelters comfortably.

It's funny how some of them get possessive of their "homes." Sometimes, I'll put kids from another doe in with another set so the kids can play and mom will stand inside and not let the other kids in, but they can run around the pen all they want. Like us, they can be peculiar.
