OT: Love struck bull
Here's a picture and an article from our local paper. The original story happened close enough to us that a neighbor called when it was going on to see if we still had our bull. Fortunately, our bull was still where he belonged. No one stepped forward to claim this guy, so he went to auction.
Love Struck Bull Finds a New Home
The bull that was caught on camera getting frisky with an Alachua County Sheriff’s cruiser in April has since found a new home.
The wayward animal, which was found romping amid the fields, homes and parked vehicles near Hawthorne on April 27, was sold May 16 during a public auction held at the ASO Livestock Impound. The highest bidder was George Frazier, who paid $750 cash.
“The bull was removed from the Impound by Frazier without incident and in apparent good health,” ASO spokesman Art Forgey said.
The bovine was on a hunt for love in all the wrong places, and his conquest left scratches on the back of the ASO Crown Victoria and a homeowner’s car.
ASO deputies used movable fences to corral the animal and reached out to nearby ranches in search of its rightful owner. They later took the bull to the ASO livestock facility in Lacrosse to await a reunion. However, no one came forward, so it was sold.
