Yellow goat kid diarrhea?

This little kid is not quite 48 hours old. She's got runny, yellow poo. I read on another thread that pepto can help for diarrhea. What do you guys think?

Here's the link to the picture. I can't get it to upload.

Looks pretty normal for that age kid. They can get pretty messy in the first couple of weeks. If she's up, eating, and playing I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks

She is fine in every other way, I've just never seen it in any of my kids before. Thanks.

Just make sure to keep an eye on her as it can sometimes harden and block them

The color is normal for newborns

Color is perfectly normal. I disagree that the consistency is normal. The poo should be formed and while it can stick to them occasionally from laying in it because it's sticky, it should not be liquid. This can lead to fly strike.

Is it dam raised? If so, it likely got colostrum so bacteria is LESS of a worry. I'd rinse off a lot of the poo and try pepto/kaolin pectate.

Yes, she's nursing on her mama. I have removed some of the blockage a couple of times. I'll give some meds after work today. Thanks.

After rinsing it off take cooking oil spray and spritz her butt and legs with it so the poop will not stick anymore this works like a charm for us! That newborn poo is worse than tree sap!
