BoSe mishap

Why does it HURT so much when you poke yourself by mistake with the BoSe syringe? Bleary eyed in the middle of the night I gave my new born kids Bose and managed to stick myself and my goodness is it bad! Like red, swollen and throbbing 10 hours later. Surely it isn't this painful to my goats? Or is it?
I have accidently hit myself with ace, rompun, penicillin and now this. And this is the worst ever! BTW I am not really that clumsy....those mistakes happened over the past 30+ years!

Gee, I didn't know it hurt so bad, either, but maybe there's a preservative ingredient that you're allergic to?

Allergy or infection? Or could you have driven the needle into a bone? I know that is a serious pain no matter what was in the needle.

You could be right. I was half asleep. I don't know how far that tiny 20 g needle went in. I also don't know how clean it was by that point. Did it already make it into the goat? or did I get most of the BoSe, I have no clue! I figure it will get better in a day or two....or not.

I would guess maybe an infection? Hope you feel better soon:-(...

I accidentally gave myself a shot of Pneumabort (for pregnant mares). I stuck the syringe in my back pocket, as I was wont to do on occasion, and the cap came off just as I stuck it needle tip down, right into my butt cheek. OUCH!! Injected the whole danged shot. I was fine, but boy did I do a LOT of standing up for a few days. Made me a little sick, but otherwise wasn't bad!

It didn't bother me. I did the same thing a couple weeks ago.

Thanks, nearly fine today. Must have hit a sensitive spot. I need to be more careful!
