Preg testing kit-buyer beware

Am I the only one that thinks this is a greedy marketing strategy? For the low cost of $39.95, said company will provide you all the directions and supplies to pull blood on FIVE goats to send in for pregnancy testing-that's 7.99 each, in addition to having to pay shipping for the sample to Biopryn(you also have to pay shipping for the kit from the company if your order is under a certain $ amount)

I get my tubes for pennies from the vet, and our local Biopryn lab only charges $6.50 per test. And there are plenty of sites online, like this one, that will guide one how to draw blood and send it in.

I think they are scamming the newbies who don't know any better.

Oh, I don't know. I pay a dollar a tube, which isn't a big deal as I only do 1 or 2 goats every couple years or so. If I had more goats or did more testing I'd have to look into buying bulk, which usually means 100 or so at least. If someone is on dial up, the pics may or may not take forever to load.

It's only $1.49 more than Biopryn, without counting the cost of tubes. So I'd say that it would depend on the situation. For me to do 5 goats would cost me 37.50 at the moment without shipping.
