Our kidding total

Our 3 preggo goats are all done kidding. Our totals all sired by our registered Lamancha buck-
Our purebred toggenburg doe had triplet bucklings
Togg/Lamancha cross doe had triplets 2 does, 1 buck (buck found dead)
Our Togg (mix?) doe had 1 huge buckling

Here's the sucky part, my inexperienced hubby went out and checked one morning and found one set of triplets. We had 2 does in a corral together, both due any minute. Both does had swollen "parts" and discharge. He put our senior doe in a kidding pen with the 2 surviving babies and went to work. When we came home both doelings were VERY weak and seemed to not be cared for. I brought them in and bottled them. 1 died so now I only have 1 doeling for the whole season. Well turned out hubby put the WRONG doe in with them. I figured this out but it was too late the doe he had put in wouldn't nurse them and had her own baby the next day. I wasn't sure I wanted to risk the only remaining doeling by trying to put her back with her real mom after over 24 hrs so I am raising her and milking the doe. Hubby felt SOOO bad, just a dumb mistake cuz he sort of panicked since I was at work. We are having the other mom's raise their own bucklings since we don't really need the amount of milk from all 3 and the boys will probably end up as meat wethers since are crossbreds.

I'm so sorry for your troubles. I hope the bottle doeling does well for you.
