Frosted Mini's Kidding Thread!

My March does are starting to kid...a week early on the Nigerians. Crazy girls!

Peekaboo had an extremely flashy single 4.4 lb doeling on her own from the time it took me to post a barn cam pic of her doing nothing to FB and then back on the camera to check her again. Good girl!

Bambina had triplets, 2 does and a buck. This is an AI breeding I did and the first one I did with no help. I even "pocket thawed" the straw as I had my 2 legged kids with me, the doe was not cooperating very well, and I don't have hot water in my barn which is not very close to the house. Her first two came out fine, the third had head back over leg a lil bit, but was easy to straighten out. He was trying to suck my finger inside the womb!! LOL.

Everyone is doing great! 6 more due within the next 2 weeks. Then one in each month of April and May.

Dandy had a single doeling today. Same sire as Bambina's. This kid tried to come head, one front leg, one back leg! I thought it was 2 kids coming at once! She has a lot of colostrum! I decided to give her Bambina's buck kid, so that they each have 2 to raise. Pictures later.

Wow, got way behind on this.

First pic is Dandy's doeling.

3/11 Kourtney had triplets, 2 bucks and a doe, sired by Jailbait. Her first kid, a buckling, was trying to come upside down and breech! He was only 1.2 lbs and he came out with barely a heartbeat. I tried to revive him, but he was so tiny and never took a breath on his own. The others were perfectly healthy and doing well. The doeling is the caped buckskin one and the buckling is the black and tan.

3/13 Moose had triplets, AI sired by Pearl Valley Yreka Laredo...2 does and a buck. All came out perfect nose and toes position. The buck has more black on him (terrible pic). He will be for sale. The does are both light chamoisee (one pictured with Moose).

3/14 Ivy had twin bucklings by Jailbait. They were born during milk test, LOL. Luckily, my mom was here to watch my human kids and my husband was here to deliver the goat kids! They have already sold as bottle babies to be pets. They are both the light buckskins.

3/17 (St. Patty's day) Twist had buck/doe twins, sired by Edgar. Perfectly positioned as well. Buck is two-tone chamoise and has already gone as a bottle kid to be a pack goat. The doe is a very pretty cou clair.

The last pic is one of Bambina's pretty little doelings.

Thank you for sharing the pics. After all the drama about Angie and the "global" admins mis-sharing posts from HT, I came here hoping to get a calming goat kid fix -- this thread was just what I needed.

Thanks guys, I'm really having a hard time parting with any of them! I have not been able to reason with myself as to which I should keep or sell!
