Question about ADGA registration

I somehow never registered the buckling that I bought last year. I am getting ready to sell him as well as register his babies. Do I have to register him before I sell him? I assume I cannot register him and the babies at the same time? Just confused. I do not see where I can register him online either. It looks like it must be done via mail! Sorry for the questions. I just got a call from someone wanting to buy him. I would love him to go today if I can work out the paperwork!

Unless he is your breeding, you owned the sire and dam, registering usually needs to be done via mail. Not sure that they can be done with a fax or not, but being Saturday won't help there. Once he is registered, if you are a current ADGA member and have a pin you can register babies, as long as both the sire and dam are in your name, online. HTH

Thanks! I am a current ADGA member but he is not my breeding! I was so overwhelmed adding four 2-legged kids to my family last year that it must have just slipped my mind!

If he is registered but not transferred to your name, you can send in all the paperwork at once.

If he is not registered, you will have to send in his paperwork and wait till you have that in hand to register his kids. Then since the kids were born at your farm you can register them online. People are currently having trouble with registering multiple kids at once, so I'd suggest doing them one at a time on the new ADGA page.

Ha!..I was registering 4 - 2 bucklings and 2 doelings, receipt showed I payed for 2 bucklings and 2 doelings...but only 1 buckling got registered so I had to call them next business day...so I have a credit with em. Its pretty simple just remember to SAVE your work...
If they are wanting to buy your purebred buck with papers, you may have to tell them that you have to send paperwork in and it might take up to 2 weeks. I did that with a buyer I offered a yearling at one price without papers and one price with...they had no problem with it.
