Looky what I got!!

2 jersey heifer calves; both are a month old. "Met" a very nice gal online with 80 cow dairy out in the boonies about 3 hours from here. Went and got them yesterday. I picked out month old ones so that they were hopefully a little more sturdy (jersey's are notoriously frail) and that way I can also raise them up myself and get them a little cheaper. She has her heifer calves for $300 plus $75 per month of age and then I got the registration papers at cost for $25 each also. These guys are the sweetest things and let me touch them anywhere, especially when they have a bottle, don't think they'll be any trouble to train for milking. They love their scratches! Doing really well so far. The breeder gave me a couple gallons of cow milk to help with their transition to goats milk also. Hopefully the scours stay away!

That was super cheap! Wish I could get dh to take that long drive lol. I'd have tones of new Jersey girls.

Thanks, they are doing great so far! Solid poops, or at least as solid as cow poo ever gets haha. They spent a night in my trailer, and you shoulda seen when we got them home and unloaded into their decent sized pen! They were running laps with tails up in the air flying out behind, so funny, wish I'd had video!
