Snowstorm ?

How did everybody do with the storm today? Friend of mine had does kidding all day. Had 10" plus here for snow. My 4 stayed in out of the wind most of the day. They had to go out for water and they didn't like that at all.

Last year the weather people said that they were looking at their models and were going to make some changes to forecasting with those models...specifically they would "expand warning areas to a much larger geographical area" supposedly to give more people a warning. Since then we are always getting these warnings and then...nothing. It is a little annoying, frankly, but maybe it helps someone else. Anyway, predicted 4-6 inches in our area...we have a dusting of snow. Low temp was supposed to be 17 degrees...it is 12 as of about 10 minutes ago.

I think we ended up around 8-9", wind blew the whole time so there is nowhere here to get a measurement for noaa. Spent today running the snowblower and reloading the barn with hay before the cold hits.

Just windy and cold here. And LOTS of birds coming down from the north. Y'all must be getting hit pretty hard.

Supposed to be 5 degrees tonight with below zero wind chill. Talked to a friend of mine and she has had 9 kids since Saturday afternoon. Getting more snow here later in the week and 1 night with below zero temps. Have some drifts in the goat pen that are 2' tall and 10-15 ft. long.

We only got about 4 inches of snow, you guys south of us were supposed to get hit much harder than the north this time.
My goats don't like it but they are used to it. They really don't like the wind though.

The area I live in got 16 inches total by the time it was done. Further south got less. I live in the second county south of the IN./MI. state line.

We got around 10" I think. 3" more coming tonight I think. This is in Lansing - my farm is an hour south - which I think around those parts got well over a foot to 14-16" in places. My dad even made a trail for the goats by walking the path for them to the hay bale.
