New kid walking funny

This guy was born yesterday and I took the video a few hours later. He is a 75% LaMancha 25% Nigerian Dwarf

I've not had an issue like this in my short experience. He is still wobbly, especially in his rear left leg. His hocks are also weak.

I gave him a dose of Bo-Se yesterday, 1cc, and another today.

Other suggestions?

I need to choose either him or another boy- which isn't as appealing to my daughter. I'm not breeding for show; more hobby.

Here's the video, 9 seconds

how old is it in this video? you say a few hours but a few hours can be night and day to a newborn kid. as long as he is nursing and mama is letting him i would wait before you make any decision on what to keep. it takes some longer to get their legs under them than others

You've given the BO-SE. I wouldn't give any more. He should be just fine in another 24 - 48 hours.

it is possible to give too much BO-SE. Please don't administer any more.

I thought the standard was 2cc. Someone please confirm.
I gave 1 yesterday when he was about 4-5 hours old.

The video was taken when he was about 4 hours old

This is a baby. I've found that 1/4 - 1/2 cc suffices for babies.

He *should* be all right; just don't give any more, okay?

if he's still alive now, I think the bo-se won't kill him at this point. Is his walking getting any better? how many were stuffed in the womb together? maybe he's just been really cramped for 5 months...

That looks very normal to me, especially if he was a multiple. He was probably positioned awkwardly for the last week or so. It can take a few days for those stretched ligaments to straighten out. IMO this in no way is an indication of poor genetics. He is certainly strong enough.

He is walking much better; I'd just not seen it before. He was a singleton to a ff. I did have meningeal worm this past summer and the dam was pretty bad. The dam is Tris and I took a video of the girls walking and posted it on this site ; tris was the first video on post #19
Possible emergency- 6 month olds dragging back legs
