Jeffers - cattle copasure. The bigger/more you buy, the cheaper it is per gram. It doesn't go bad, so buying in quantity is economical. The 'goat' size boluses are not what I would use because they are the wrong size usually and most expensive per. Jeffers likely has the best prices and free shipping if you tack it on to another order to get it over the 50.00 minimum for free shipping. (If you're like me, that's NEVER an issue, lol)

Bought the calf boluses, opened them all up and dumped them right back in the cannister they came in.

#13 'goat' size empty capsules

You will want a small gram scale cheap from amazon or ebay

I make the capsules on an individual basis. Sounds like a chore but you can get pretty quick about it per animal and I personally only do it 2x per year. I'd rather properly dose and take the extra time as copper is important in worm management. I give 2x per year, pre-breeding (2wks) and pre-kidding (4wks) simply the same time as I do other things to the herd.

Best place for copper boluses

I prefer easy. I buy 100-4gm at a time for adults for $48 and also buy the $2 bolusing tool. Total $50 equals free shipping. I only bolus adults and older kids. I use the 4gm on them all. Link below

Doesn't sound much different than reloading shells... And I'll spend the time doing that

I bolus twice a year, usually.... Try to do it every 6 months for the goats that seem to need it more. Some don't seem to need it as much despite all eating the same diet & having access to loose mineral (hoeggers golden blend)

I have different sized gelcaps for different weight animals. Each baggie is labeled with how many of that sized gelcap to empty a 12.5 g copasure. Got a package of little cups w/ lids from the dollar store (10 to a pk?) and mark the top of those with the weights for extra bolus' I have made. Works well.
