Surprise babies! Anyone in NE Kansas or SE Nebraska, NW Mo?
We were planning for babies in March but ne of the bucks got in with the does apparently in July/Aug because we have triplets (b/g/g)!
They are purebred Nubians from Nubilop acres lines. Mama is Nubilop Acres All That Jazz http://www.adgagenetics.org/GoatDeta...ber=N001527542 but I am not sure which buck got her of the 2.
(They are both from Registered Nubilop lines but I didn't do their paperwork can show you lineage of the two possible papas) Anyway! We were planning to get the disbudding equipment at tax time but now we have babies already.
Is there anyone who would want to trade us disbudding our two doelings for a free unpapered but should be show quality buckling? I can't buy the disbudding iron right now ( Have to take our son with heart defects to meet with a surgeon in another state, 800 mile trip this week so that's where the $ has to go) but would rather not have horned goats.
ANYWAY I thought I would check here. I hope it's ok to ask!
I can post a picture if anyone would like.

Not as weird thing at all:-). I don't have what you need, and live very far away, or I might swap!

If... I lived closer... had a disbudding iron... and needed a great unregistered buck.. I'd jump at the chance! The challenge is that most folks who've invested in their own disbudding iron only breed for registered goats. I'm sure someone with a few home milkers would be tickled to have him though!

I know it may not be in the budget now, but there is always genetic testing to confirm a sire. Unfortunately each kid would have to be tested as well as each buck. I'd still rather do that than keep an unregistered kid, personally. :P Hopefully you find someone to disbud! I'd do it free but I'm in MI.

I am too far or I would be happy to help. I could use a nice unrelated young buck for our backyard milk goats.

Once again, too bad you aren't just a bit closer. I am sure I could talk dh into doing it.
