Milking tests
Can anyone give me the lowdown on milking test? What are the different tests and how are they done? I have a pair of alpines that are ADGA registered and their dam is 7*.

The 7* just means that 7 animals in the dam line successively were on test to earn their star and advanced registry.

ADGA website is down, otherwise I would link you to more information. There are many test plans as well as one-day milk tests (usually done at a show). My friend Kristie has a very detailed how-to. It sounds complicated, but it's really not that bad.
