Getting a sire

I have a Spanish Nubian doe that had a kid that was killed by wild dogs in my area a few months back. Anyway does any one know how to tell if a doe is in heat and how soon a buck to sire is needed.

Thanks

A doe should cycle every 21 days during your regions' breeding season, though some breeds are less seasonal than others. The only way to notice a heat is to watch her. Heats can be hard to notice if there isn't a buck around.
