New Goat coming soon...

Trading some of my Lespedeza hay for a Nubian/Kiko cross doe born this last spring, she is of breeding age and weight but is open. Not sure if I should breed her to Monkey (nubian) or PT (kiko) really looking forward to seeing how well she milks out.
Hmmm should call her a Nuko or a Kibian
She is the slightly smaller one the bigger one is her dam...I think she looks good and stocky...what do you all think?

"Nuko" could have nuclear repercussions. I think I'd go with Kibian.

She looks good and sturdy and very sweet! I would breed her to the Kiko for meat babies...but not sure that is what you are looking for????
LOL, Pony!

I love my pure nubian and the babies sell well when I have them to sell so much so that I have yet to have any "spare" for freezer camp. Having a meatier dairy cross available might give me the extra and with the added bonus of parasite resistance and faster growth rate of the kiko...
Now PT is a yearling buck well actually he will be a yearling in January and Monkey is almost 4 yrs old of course this pic is taken before full winter coat and the urine much all over them.

Handsome boys! Both of them! Well, I guess it depends on what you need more of...cash or meat. Meat is more trouble...although I bet that Kiko puts out some pretty kids, too. Decisions, decisions...

If it were my doe, I'd breed her to the buck I planned on having the least amount of time and the other buck the next time to compare. Does that make sense? It's a good opportunity for you.

Not happening. I changed my mind stepped back and seriously thought about it decided that I already have one project goat don't need another and since at least 4 of my girls are close to kidding I might need the space if I decide to keep one of those.
