Looking for ------------------

ON A MISSION:

Looking for an old novel from the 1940's-1970's about a Woman Goat Farmer.
My Sister read this in the 1980's and it was an old book. She was born in 1962, so she was in her 20's.
The book may or may not be a young readers book.
She remembers that the book was about a woman goat farmer and each goat had a distinct personality.

She and I have been looking for this book for 20 or so years. We are not doing this on a whim.

If you know of the book or know of how to search for the book, we would be grateful.

bonnie: are you aware of Loganberry Books of Cleveland, Ohio? They have a kind of search ESPECIALLY for children's books...but others, too. If you google Loganberry Books and go to "Stump the Bookseller" they might be able to assist you. They also give information about how you can sometimes locate a book on your own by searching with specific words regarding your memories of the "lost" title, pictures, etc. Good Luck! Let us know if you find it...

Otter may know the book. When it comes to books -- obscure and otherwise -- Otter's my go-to gal.

I have an older book about a lady who moves out of the city to a farm with a couple other ladies, and she raises goats... I don't know if it's it but if I can find it I'll at least give you the title/print date

As a librarian, I just have to ask. Have you found it yet? Any other leads you can give? I just can't stand it. Got to find that book!

I'm with Clovers Clan - can you give any more details? where did she live (on an island, US, another country), was she alone? family? how many goats? any goat names stick in your memory? I'm curious as well.

Very pleased to hear it! It is a good little book that made me both giggle and cry because so many of her words resound with me.
