Weird High Fever running through my milking herd

I literally haven't posted in years, but I'd love some feedback on this issue. Thanks in advance for reading:

1. Saturday night, noticed the low girl on the totem pole, 3-year old Nubian, looking just a bit "off". Found: high fever of 105.9 Normal gut sounds, slightly elevated respiration but clear lung sounds. Ok gum/pink mucus membranes around eyes, too. Nibbled grain but not interested. DID eat the greens we brought her.
2. 54 days bred so no biomycin. Vaccinated prebreeding with cdtet. Wormed also prebreeding.
3. Vet said to try high dose of penicillin and banamine. 5cc penG Sat night AND Sunday morning. One dose banamine which brought temp down to 102 Sunday morning but temp back up to 105.7 Sunday night. Continued on with 1x/day penicillin, no banamine, but added in vitamin b complex subq, and oral probiotic paste.
4. Temp down a bit yesterday morning and normal last night at 101.2 or 102.1, cant remember. Normal this morning. Will continue on with 5-day protocol of penicillin as per vet and vit b/probiotic.

THEN...: second goat sick-preg- with exact same symptoms Sunday and started treatment Sunday night. Temp down to 103. something as of this morning.
NOW...: Last night, 100 lbish 9-month old-preg- showed 103.9 temp and 105.1 temp this morning. Waiting for vet to give penG dose recommendations since she is smaller than the other two. Will start treatment this afternoon as soon as hear from vet.

This seems to be moving through the herd. Everyone else normal temps, SO FAR. Even though the penG protocol appears to be working, not sure if its just a 3 day virus that would have worked its way through herd anyway. Providing lots of greens to keep sick does interested in food. Weird thing is they still nibbled and didn't really STOP eating, just lost interest and looked "off (not aggressive at feeder/standing back/coat a tiny bit stuck out) if that makes sense. Boer herd has three does due in 3 weeks, but penned separately and no symptoms at all-crossing fingers. Haven't "temped" any of them.

Have NO idea...but it appears that the pen is doing the job...along with your other measures. It is running through my mind that this is perhaps drought related? Seems to me that odd things pop up under really stressful situations and the drought in CA (now getting better I hope) might have contributed to souring something...like the forage or general atmosphere...causing some dormant virus to spring up??? Going way out here but even the rodents in the area who might not normally cause any problems could be releasing some unusual problem in their droppings??? Glad you are getting it under control and hopefully the girls are far enough in their pregnancies that there will be no harm to the kids or the pregnancy...otherwise, sorry, don't have a "label" for it.
