Best wormer? It all depends on what you have been using. I like cydectin used orally. There are other wormers though Prohibit, Safeguard, Valbazen, Synanthic, Ivomec, Ivomec Plus to name a few. Some have lost their effectiveness due to overuse.

If possible, dry lot your goat and make sure his food is uncontaminated with fecal matter. Hay and feed should not be fed on the ground. Worm him out 3 times - 10 days apart.

I will try and thank you. I have tried safeguard and ivomec and she seems to get better and then it is back. I will try another. I will also try to dry lot her. We never feed off of the ground so that shouldn't be a problem and I always make sure the feeders are clean. She continues to eat well and has never pulled off feed even when she has looked horrible. I have never had a goat with bottle jaw. Is there any other explanation because I have looked at photo's and it definately is what it looks like.

How do her eyelids look? Bottle jaw is usually from anemia secondary to a heavy work load. Besides being treated for parasites, she may also need support to rebuild her blood supply. Injectable iron or an oral supplement like redcell can help.
