Langston dhir testing.

While off work today I thought I would check on dhir testing and set up for my Saanen FF herd. I called and was unable to reach anyone there. I called Eva's number there.

Am I calling the right place? Is Langston still used by Adga for Dhir testing?

I don't know what number you're calling, but YES, Langston is still a milk testing facility. They DO send the paperwork elsewhere now (so Langston is no longer a dairy records processing center: DRPC) but the samples and paperwork do still go to Langston.

For an email, I have dhilangston@yahoo.com (Roberta)

And langston_dhi@yahoo.com (Eva)

And phone number on an email from Mar from Eva is: 405-466-6207

If I were you, I would contact your state's DHIA. I have heard that langston is really unreliable these days.

Thx for the response. I talked to Eva today she called me back. If Langston is not the only center available. Who else is there?

I am with the Idaho DHIA and most there, including me, use a local dairy lab, Agsource for our samples, and Raleigh (PCDart, computer program) for our processing center. There are a few different options, so best to contact your state DHI, or a state near you, as they can help you find what works best in your area. The state DHIA will also certify scales and do tester training.
