What exactly is attractive . . .

About smelling of urine, spitting on other goats, and wailing like a baby? LOL, our bucks are on full buck mode right now! They're starting to look a bit thin, because they don't want to eat when they're attracting does. And why do they still do it when the does are obviously not in heat and not interested? Goats just don't make sense . . . LOL.

I think you have pointed out some good points here! Goats are wonderful animals though, and very friendly. They are worth keeping just for the entertainment value.

Yea, well, the same can be said for men... They don't seem to get it either. Obviously a male thing, not just a caprine thing.

Yeah, but . . . birds are pretty good at it, don't you think? They strut around looking cool and handsome with their flashy feathers.

Yep, that's really what matters . . . besides, of course, the fact that Arthur was a bottle baby and now loves rubbing his stink on us.

I think my buckling is defective because he mostly just stands around and looks like a normal goat.

LOL, ours too! Rocky doesn't even try to mount the does, but maybe it's because he was a single and didn't have other bucklings to practice with.

Is there a return desk for goats, like at Wal-Mart?

Doug Hodges' house might be a possibility now that I think of it...

This morning I was watching our three males interacting with a female in heat. We have one buck, one buckling and one wether. We just got the wether so I don't know a lot about his history or his age. I just got him because a) he came free with the 2 does I bought my wife for our anniversary, b) he's big and handsome, c) he is super friendly... I digress.... So the buck and the wether are going at it. Full on fighting and chasing each other. Nothing too serious though since none of our animals have horns. But they were quite serious about keeping each other off the girl. I guess Eddie got wethered later in life and still knows what that smell means. So whilst these two are working out their pecking order, the little 4 month old buckling was handling business with the doe.... LOL!!.. The big boys were too busy to notice that the little one was the smarter of the three.
