Yes, you can use Ivomec and Cydectin on goats. Here are the amounts.

The concentration is different, and the doses will be pretty huge. It can be used effectively but drenching a ton of liquid in a goat is my least favorite thing, usually ends up in a big struggle, more risk of aspiration, and a lot of wasted product when they spit that expensive stuff right into the dirt. The sheep drench is 1mg moxidectin per ml. Many of us use cydectin pour-on at 1cc per 22lbs, which is 5mg/ml in concentration.

Some maths later, the dose for a goat with sheep drench is 4.4 mls per 22lbs.

Here's another chart where someone did lots of maths. The sheep ivermectin dose is also listed as well!

Of course, no dewormer is proven to be effective until you do fecals. I suggest doing fecals before and after deworming, so you can target deworming to those that NEED to be dewormed, and then make sure it lowered the worms to acceptable levels. I use this place for affordable fecals: http://midamericaagresearch.net/

I can't help you with that one. My girls are dry lotted 24/7/365 so I don't have to worm unless someone picks up lung worms or nasal bots.

We usually just worm ours in the early spring later fall no mater the age although we would not worm under 3-4 months depending on what the goat needs.

What age to worm and what to use for worming varies GREATLY with location, breed, management. If I waited to deworm till 4 months of age with my current management, I'd have at least some runty stunty kids. I at least do fecals starting around 8-12 weeks of age.

I know you already had these on hand, but in the future when you go to restock, you may want to look into the horse wormer paste called Quest Gel. It has the same active ingredient as Cydectin (Moxidectin).
Much, much less mess to dose, and our goats just get their measured blob dabbed on their gums, no fuss. There are threads on HT with dosage info if you're interested.
