What a weird day

My day has been....weird. First I went out to milk my goats and noticed that someone had cut Toast's beard off. Then on my way to get a rabbit buck, there was a big ram sheep standing on a bridge in the middle of the highway. I thought about picking him up and bringing him home until his home could be found but that would have involved me putting a ram in the passenger seat. Lol. I would have if he had still been there on the way back. And just a few minutes ago a policeman came to my house asking if the goat jumping on cars at the library was mine. Nope. (Laughing my butt off inwardly at that one)

I was wondering why the little Saanen hasn't grown any beard yet, as her mama's is very full and ladylike. Then I noticed mama giving the little one trims. Silly mama goat.

I don't know! That's why it's creepy and my desire to get a LGD seems more urgent now...looks like it was cut with scissors. She isn't very social and won't just come to the gate so someone would have had to catch her...

Her kids have sold and my kids haven't been out there lately, though I doubt they could keep a hold of her.

*******Very wise of you to say Nope Mr. Policeman the goat is not mine! Very smart move. But what is the cop follows him home to your house.

Yep, I wouldn't want to be the goat owner whose goat has dented and scratched a couple of SUVs and a BMW...

I offered to take it in temporarily if he wanted to bring it to me. 3 of my kids were sleeping otherwise I would have gone over there myself. He said he didn't have the means to transport it, and I kept myself from suggesting he put it in the backseat of his cruiser.

He said he was going to call the brand inspector to deal with it.

Also, Wyoming is a free range state so it falls to the patrons of the library to park where their cars can't be danced upon by livestock.

Does that mean if someone's animal does damage to someone else's vehicle or person there is no legal remedy?

That only goes for livestock. Your personal insurance is supposed to pay for livestock damage. There might be recourse for an injury but I don't know.

I sure hope this doesn't cause the Town Council to outlaw goats in town though. Swine aren't allowed so the little neighbor kid was devastated when she was told her mini potbelly had to go.
