Goat with sores
I was at a friend's house, helping her draw blood yesterday on her goats. We noticed one of them had some sores on her rump and investigated further. There are sores/chew marks (doesn't look like ringworm) on one side only and the actually go along her topline on that side and on her rear leg and rump. There is nothing on her left side, only the right. I was thinking maybe mites until we realized it was only one side. The other things I thought of were possibly that's the side she lays on and she's having some kind of allergic reaction to something she layed on or maybe a migrating meningeal worm that is irritating her (but my friend said she's never seen any deer...however, I live 3 miles from her and know there are plenty of them in the area). Anybody got anything else??
