Unhappy Blood-sucking mites

Ever had that problem? We have some people over right now to trim goats' hooves (dang it, we still can't bring ourselves to do it after two years!) All the does' -- and the ewe's -- hooves are done, and Lily the Angora is sheared. Lulu the sheep is in the process of shearing right now. But what they found on Lily was . . . bloodsucking mites. Lots of them. She's overrun! The people said that it's probably why she's so skinny, despite having Timothy hay all day, salt frequently, and Chaffhaye once a day. They put some drops on her and Lulu, and we're going to put some on all of the goats just in case. (We found a lot on Lulu, and a few on Annabeth. We haven't checked the others yet.) I feel terrible for not knowing about those awful mites!

Angoras get lice super easily so don't feel too bad about it. They love living in those long locks. It took me years to finally rid my herd of them.

Is it mites or lice?
Cylence works great for lice but for mites Ivermectin is better to treat with.
Below is a link about the different kinds of mites & how to treat them.

It's mites. Thanks, both of you!
