If there aren't pics, it didn't happen! So . . . even though nothing much is happening, I might as well keep up with it and post pics! In order from left to right, top to bottom:
Toby, buck, born June 2013
Pearl, livestock guardian dog, born April 2012
Arthur, buck, born June 2012
Lily and Lulu, doe and ewe, both born April 2013
Sundae, doe, born March/April 2012, bred March 26, 2014
Luna, doe, born April 2012
Annabeth, doe, born May 2010, kidded 2012, June 2013, and April 2014
Clover, doe, born April 2012
Hazel, doe, born March 2012, kidded March 2014
Colonel, buck, born April 2012
What a nice little gang you have! I love the tri color goat, very flashy.
Thanks! Everyone loves Clover, the one you mentioned. She has an underbite and is a little short and fat, but has great milking genes. I'm partial to Sundae's coloring myself.
I am also partial to Sundae's coloring. ^.^ The picture of the doe and ewe made me smile ear to ear. The doe is absolutely darling. You have a gorgeous herd. Congrats! =)
HOW did you get such GOOD pics without them all being in your face???

Photography is my hobby, so I guess that makes me more patient to wait for the good moments? I don't really know myself, but it did take some effort to get those pics. Let me see . . . it was actually harder to get Toby and Colonel IN my face than out of it. They're pretty shy. Lily and Lulu were really hard because they are SUPER shy and won't let me come any closer than the pics I got are. (It's really hard to give them medicine . . .) Bella was a nightmare to get out of my face, but I was really persistent. Luna wanted to be in my face but got bored after a while. Annabeth wanted to jump on me (and I might add she is the biggest goat we have at over seventy pounds and did succeed in jumping a couple of times) but then she got bored too. Arthur was really hard to get out of my face but he ended up being more interested in his flehmening (or however you spell that) than getting a very close up pic. Sundae and Hazel were pretty easy. Oh yeah, and Lulu is not shy through the fence so that's how I got the close up of her. Oh yeah, I forgot Pearl, the overeager for everything LGD; she was really in my face, but I ended up telling her to sit and stay. You can't do that with goats, unfortunately! My advice: be patient! BTW, I'll try to get pics of Sundae's kidding in about four days!!!!!!!!!!!!
