New goat, little skinny & clumpy poo

I brought home a new goat last week. He's not really acting odd but he is the most timid out of my herd of 4. He is the only one that won't jump up on things. He's a 3 month wether. He has only been on a herbal wormer so far . I'm noticing pale eyelids and clumpy poo, along with the fact that I think he's to skinny.

I'd like to pick up a chemical wormer today. What would you suggest ? I'm leaning towards quest or cydectin ( though my other three recently had safeguard and are doing great).

Thank you !

Yes, Quest or Cydectin. Give him a dose today and again at ten days.

At that age, I'd treat him for coccidia, too.

I use toltrazuril because it doesn't taste as nasty and you don't have to dose over and over. (1 cc orally, per five pounds of goat) Repeat every three weeks if you are starting with three week old goats. Stop when they are about five months old or so.

This will last you a long time.

If you use Corid, it has to be dosed orally five days in a row, every three weeks. It is BITTER, and your goats will hack and cough and not appreciate being caught and dosed.
Chart for dosing. http://www.goatmilkstuff.com/Coccidia-Goats.html

I could only find Corid today at our feed store. I can do this for five days if it will help my little guy He's probably 20 lbs so i'm going to give 5cc's.
I'll also worm him tonight. Holy cow Cydectin is $$! I'm going to try safeguard first.

Also, I got some vitamin B complex. I've never given a shot though. Is this SQ or IM?

It doesn't really matter on SQ or IM.

Safeguard is just for tapeworms. Won't get the anemia causing barberpole worms that can kill your goats.

Quest horse gel is the same active ingredient as Cydectin and it doesn't smell like gasoline and was actually made for oral use, so that's what I use. Plus, you can buy in smaller quantities.

I'm going to get a fecal done on the wether in question today, though his poo is normal looking. He's just thin and has pale eyelids Would you run a fecal on all of them? It's $26 per goat! I really need to learn to do this myself

I gave them all Corid last night and a shot of vit B. Do I give a shot of Vitamin B every time I dose the Corid (5 days)?

Depending on the fecal outcome, I plan to invest in some Baycox and Cydectin if needed. Might be good to have on hand regardless.

5.00 fecals. Had several ran this week, myself. Priority shipping with an ice pack - around 5.00 if you use the flat rate boxes at post office.

That's another term for barberpole worms, the ones that cause anemia and death.

Here's the link to everything you'd ever want to know about worm treatments.

Shoot! I've got a lot to learn.
I'm leaving now to buy cydectin. Should I dose all four of my goats with it?

I've never found cydectin locally... maybe your places are better than mine. What you CAN find is Quest horse paste, which is the same drug, different dosage. 1cc per 100lbs.

All goats will have a load of worms. Deworming is on an individual basis. I have a doe who I havent dewormed in a long time. She's a 'worthless' unregistered mini goat who hasn't been bred, hasn't had grain in years, hasn't been copper bolused/BoSe'd, CDT'd etc. She has 'butt cancer' (a large sarcoma around her anus/vulva that is gross looking but otherwise fine). She is obese. Her worm load was minimal. I will NOT be deworming her! :P

The basis for dewormings should be FAMANCHA score, body condition, fecal consistency, and fecal exam egg counts.
