Attack Goats
Yes, I know. They're tied and that isn't ideal. But the brown one can somehow get over the solid 6 ft fence around my backyard and then will scream for his buddy the black one. They are wethers bound for freezer camp, so they spend the night in dog crates and they day eating weeds.
Some punk kid just tried to turn my goats loose. I don't know if I should be ------ or continue laughing my butt off because when he tried to turn my brown one loose, well....said brown one freaked out, ran around his tie out, tangled the kid up, and butted him when the kid tried to escape. Meanwhile the black one was following him around trying to get a bag of snack mix out of his pocket, which probably was interpreted by the kid as yet another attack goat trying to get him. Yah...I think I'll continue to laugh because that kid obviously learned his lesson about trespassing. He freed himself right as I opened the door to rescue him (he looked to be 10ish) and ran away screaming and crying he was sorry.
The black one did get that snack mix. I didn't let him keep the M&Ms though.
It all happened in less than a minute so it's not like I was just leaving him there to be trampled. I was sitting on the couch nursing Thorin so I had to go put him down before I could go outside. If I had ended up needing to untangle him I would have given him a stern taking to, but I wasn't about to leave all my kids to chase him down. I would have called the cops if it was a teen. I have a couple bales of hay in the front yard so I'm not really concerned about the goats wandering off if they get loose.
Here are my Attack Goats. The black one is Obama and the brown one is Biden. Those are the names they came with. (They came with Cookie who is mostly cream colored and was formerly Cracker) LOL
