Hoegger ordering online frustration

I have a terrible time ordering online from Hoegger. It gets tangled between PayPal and the logging in and ......

I'M FRUSTRATED!

Finally just called them.

Hoeggers' service has really gone downhill the last few years. I've always loved their products and quick service. The last time I ordered from them, they didn't bother to tell me something was backordered. I had to call several weeks later to find out that the backordered item had no time frame on when they would be able to get it to me. I cancelled my order and ordered from Caprine Supply. Got shipment within a few days.

I don't use Hoeggers anymore..My stainless steal milk pail with the half moon lid BROKE and dumped milk all over the place. The last order I placed with them was nothing but drama & headache and took over a month to arrive...Customer service is a joke...

Used to be good, but I won't support them with my $$ any longer.

I understand the above comments, it can be frustrating. What I value about Hoegger's (as a long-time customer) is that they are a small family-owned company, and if I need advice or emergency help over the phone, it's free from those who have raised goats for generations. Even if I don't order anything. So I'm hoping they can resolve these issues going forward.
Ordering from Caprine supply is of course an option, but they're a large business.....asking their phone/online sales rep what to do if my doe is dying, good luck with that. They sell things like any big company, but don't have the personal touch.
This economy and all the regulations make it harder for a small family-owned business, we small farmers realize that every day. I'm hoping they'll fix their issues and be around another few generations to serve us goat addicts

Rosepath,

While I agree with spending my money at small American businesses. If I need a product yesterday and the company doesn't bother telling me that they don't have the product and can't tell me if and or when they will have it, then I have to go somewhere else. What I don't like about Caprine Supply, is that they don't have actual product pictures so sometimes you're guessing at what the item really looks like.

I agree with Paintpony.

The biggest benefit of patronizing smaller companies should be customer service. To stay competitive, they must offer exemplary service, hyper-regulation or not.

There is no substitute for quality customer care.

I also had problems with my last order. Ordered Andis clippers. No notice that they were on backorder until the box arrived with the invoice. Called and cancelled the clippers. When I called they still didn't know when they'd have them--sheesh.

First time I ordered this year, the email arrived telling me my package had been sent, etc. Nothing this time. And it took nearly a month to arrive. Strange.

Hoegger ordering online frustration

They are to high. I never order from them. Valley Vet, Caprine Supply and one other one.......hmmmmmm

I shouldn't say never. I have ordered from them. I always check the prices everywhere before ordering. Caprine supply is the easiest to order from. I can do it from my phone in seconds.

Wow. Sorry to hear. I called them once. Ended up getting transferred to Mr. Hoegger himself or so. This was over the rings for a Hoegger pasteurizer, WHICH I BOUGHT ON EBAY. After the discussion over the shrinking rings, they sent me several replacement rings right away, nary a problem.

Jeffers gets 98% of my business. Some things you can't buy from them though... yes, prices are pretty high.

I recieved my strainer... or at least, I have a box from them at the farm. (I'm not at the farm during the week).
