OT: Had my baby

It's a boy! Had him at home unassisted and the batteries in our scale are corroded so don't have a weight at the moment.

Congratulations on the beautiful new baby and for having him at home! I wish I had done that. He looks like a big boy. Name?

Unassisted? No midwife? No one around? Did it Indian style beside the trail?

LOL, Doug, she made a kidding pen with lots of straw and clean bedding. My friends all teased me that was what I was going to do...in both my pregnancies I got those comments.

His name is Thorin. My husband usually just sits back and lets me do my thing but this little guy was posterior (back facing my spine instead of my belly) and had a shoulder dystocia so the hubs got some real experience there.

No kidding pen, but did have a birth pool.

I totally would have had him camping if I went into labor there, but after aforementioned complications I was happy I was at home where I could just climb out onto the couch and sleep.
