Kid Question

I bought a Nigie kid that was born mid. March. He is still super tiny and scrawny. He's has regular cocci prevention and I am doing Baycox.

We was on alfalfa and grass at the breeders house. I feed Chaffhay. Today I gave him a handful of pelleted feed which if I have an option I don't want to do.

I'm considering putting him back on a bottle to try and get him to grow a little and put on a bit of weight. What does everyone think?

I can give him BOSS but he doesn't eat much. He's smaller then my newborn standard size kids. It's not just size he looks frail. His eyelid are nice and pink.

He will eventually be my future herd sire. He has great genetics behind him.
Thoughts?

Sorry I don't use Chaffhay. I am sure there is nothing wrong with it I am just old school I guess I have some peeps question me as to why I am still putting dry hay out for my goats with all the green growing stuff they get to eat now, they do eat less of it but I want them to have the dry fiber to combat the moister green. But that is all in my head I am sure.

Anyways ...for him you might go ahead and do that little bit of grain top dressed with probios. Change in diet, with the worming, sometimes even just change in weather like here when its been raining for a couple days straight and everything is wet I top dress with it.
He is just at 12 weeks from the sounds of it which is when most people wean anyways.
Maybe a shot of B complex to help raise his hunger and energy level's as well.

He was one of 3 so I think he was the runt. I bought a doeling from the same breeder and she's just a month older and is 3 times his size and looks big healthy and strong.

I don't wean that early but everyone does things different. I'd like him to put some weight on and get strong. I really don't like feeding grain especially pelleted food. Just seems like it will take forever for him to eat enough to put weight on with Chaffhay and a handful of grain.
