Only nursing on one side

Both of my does are each nursing one kid right now. They kidded 2 weeks ago and 3 days ago. Both kids are only nursing on one side. Udders are really lopsided so I've been milking out each doe 1-2 times per day on the side they are not nursing from.

My plan is to put a strip of medical tape across the teat of the side they will nurse from this evening in hopes of encouraging them to nurse from the other. Good idea? Any other ideas other than fashioning a bra to restrict them?

My FF Saanen kidded almost 3 days ago and her teats are nuts. The teat that her kid will nurse from is smaller than my pinky. The other one is about as long as my pointer finger...thinking it's bigger because it's just been allowed to stretch more from the filling of milk. I just milked out the side that the kid won't nurse from and got almost a half gallon.

Yes, you should be milking out the mommas at last once a day, if not twice.

Yes, you can put tape down one side, across the tip, and up the other side. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
