Columbia, TN Goat Auction?

Can anyone with experience with the Columbia, TN goat auction tell me a little about it? Primarily, are there bulk meat buyers there who are buying goats for slaughter? Also, are there separate groups that are not sold as meat but as premium breeding stock?

I have a handful of 4 month old commercial boer bucklings as well as a yearling buck I am trying to sell locally with no luck. We have a local sale barn in town which sells about 50 goats each week according the the Department of Agriculture reports but the Columbia auction seems to do a much higher volume and seems like it may be a better place to get market value for meat goats. Now with as few as I have for sale currently, it's most definitely more economical to go to the local sale, not just for gas purposes, but to avoid having to take off time form work as it is a 3 1/2 hour round trip from my house not including stops and time spent unloading and registering to be able to get paid. And while it may not pay out as much in terms of net gain, I'd like to venture to the Columbia auction now while my herd is small so I can "scout it out". I'd like to get to the point where I have a high yield of kids every year and want to be able to load all the ones up not sold for breeding stock and take them to an auction that will bring the best prices.

Also, if anyone knows of any good goat auctions somewhat near me I'd like to know. I'm in north Alabama, about halfway between Huntsville and Birmingham. I am only 10 miles away fro my local sale barn and I am 110 miles away from Columbia, TN. Depending on my kid crop for the year and the consistency of the sale barn, I'd be willing to travel a decent ways away.

Livestock Auction

I haven't been in town when the sale is going on yet but the Lewisburg Livestock Market has been getting pretty good reviews. Their sales very each week but they have been having ads on Craigslist just about every time I look with times and what not.
